Every crime so far came from desperation: pressure from debt, unemployment, hunger, poverty. Murder comes from the other direction. The relationship graph already tracked rivals (affinity −0.6 or worse), but rivalry was as cosmetic as partnership was before households.

Rivals forced to share a node accumulate hatred per hour — 6/h, deterred by policing like any other pressure. A watched citizen swallows it. Past its own threshold the citizen kills the rival where they stand.

consequences

The victim dies with cause Murder and their estate settles through the shared death machinery — home and workplace released, money to the household or the treasury. The murderer gets a crime record and an officer dispatched like any other criminal. If caught: a 100 fine in money or debt and 72 hours in jail, three times the ordinary sentence. There is no stolen money to return.
